The Ohafia Local Government Area is set to host the 2025 Ohafia Trade Fair, a major commercial event designed to advance enterprise development and economic engagement within the region. Organized under the leadership of the Mayor of Ohafia LGA, Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, the fair reflects Abia State’s commitment to fostering wealth creation and broadening opportunities for businesses across various sectors.
This year’s edition, themed “Battle of Brands: Ohafia the Emerging Niche,” will run from Tuesday, 16 December to Saturday, 20 December 2025, at the Ohafia Local Government Premises, Ebem Ohafia, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily.

The trade fair will feature a diverse array of exhibitors showcasing products ranging from fashion, footwear, and textiles to cosmetics, food items, household essentials, and locally crafted goods. The event aims to create an enabling environment for businesses to expand their visibility, strengthen brand competitiveness, and engage directly with consumers and industry partners.
Key figures supporting the initiative include Hon. Samuel Obasi Kalu, alongside other distinguished stakeholders such as Hon. Eme Iro Eme, Pastor Ikechukwu, and Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, whose contributions underscore the collective commitment to enhancing commercial activities and stimulating economic growth in Ohafia and beyond.

Entrepreneurs, corporate bodies, small and medium-sized enterprises, and members of the public are encouraged to participate in the fair, either as exhibitors, sponsors, or visitors. The organizers emphasize that the 2025 Ohafia Trade Fair will serve not only as a marketplace but also as a strategic platform for collaboration, innovation, and long-term economic development.
