RHC Raymond Ofoegbu, popularly known as Onyinye Ohuhu, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Abia State House of Assembly seat representing Umuahia North State Constituency in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
In his declaration statement, Ofoegbu emphasized that his ambition is driven by a passion for human capacity development and grassroots transformation.
According to him, the foundation of every progressive society lies in empowering its people through education, economic opportunities, healthcare, and sustainable community growth.
The House of Assembly aspirant noted that his campaign will operate under the “Human Capacity Development Initiative,” a vision aimed at creating opportunities for youths, women, traders, artisans, farmers, professionals, and vulnerable members of society across Umuahia North.
Speaking on his mission for the constituency, RHC Raymond Ofoegbu promised to champion youth empowerment and skills acquisition programs designed to reduce unemployment and encourage entrepreneurship among young people. He also pledged support for quality education through scholarship opportunities and policies that will improve learning conditions for students in the constituency.
The aspirant further highlighted healthcare accessibility, social welfare, rural development, and infrastructural improvement as key priorities of his proposed legislative agenda. He stressed the need for inclusive governance that gives women and local communities a stronger voice in decision-making processes.
According to Ofoegbu, transparent, accountable, and responsive representation will remain at the center of his leadership approach if elected into the Abia State House of Assembly in 2027. He maintained that the people of Umuahia North deserve leadership that listens, delivers, and prioritizes their welfare above personal interests.
Describing his ambition as more than a political project, the ZLP aspirant called on residents of Ohuhu and the entire Umuahia North State Constituency to support what he termed a collective movement for progress, development, and prosperity.
