Rufai Hanga, a senator from Kano Central representing the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has stated that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was formed as a result of his intimate interactions with President Bola Tinubu.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Hanga disclosed that Tinubu personally invited him to his house in Abuja, where they had an in-depth conversation about the future of Nigerian politics.

The senator mentioned that their meeting took place in a very intimate setting – Tinubu’s bedroom – where they agreed on how to form the APC, a move that would later change the political landscape in the country.

Hanga’s revelations came as he spoke candidly about his political journey and the role he played in the creation of the ruling party.

According to the senator, the political alliance between him and Tinubu has remained strong over the years, as they had shared ideas on governance and party politics long before the APC was formed.

He emphasized that their collaboration was not only based on mutual respect but also a shared vision for a better Nigeria. While reflecting on his past political associations, Hanga also made it clear that his loyalty to his current political leader in the NNPP, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, is unwavering.

Despite the ongoing political turbulence and internal crises within the party, Hanga stated that he would not betray his leader, even if it meant losing his seat in the Senate.

In his words; “If not for me, APC would not have existed, and no one gave me a dime. Tinubu came to Arewa House in Abuja, invited me to his house, we sat in his bedroom, and agreed on how APC would be formed. We have been together for a long time, and I have a lot of respect for him, but his spin doctors do not see that.
