In a time when access to quality education remains a pressing challenge for many Nigerian students, one man has continued to rise above the tides and lead with purpose. Hon. Chijioke James Ume, fondly known as Ike Abam, through his remarkable humanitarian platform — the Unubiko Foundation — has once again demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the upliftment of humanity and advancement of education.
With the recent award of educational scholarships to about 170 deserving students, both Abians and non-Abians, Ike Abam has solidified his position as not just a philanthropist, but a visionary who understands that the true wealth of a people lies in the minds we empower.
As the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), ZONE F (South-East), we not only applaud this impactful gesture, but we see it as a perfect alignment with our core mission — to promote, protect, and project the educational and leadership interests of Nigerian students.
As a proud son of Abia and a man who continually raises the banner of educational equity and youth empowerment, Ike Abam has etched his name in gold. His generous and intentional support towards the academic growth of students speaks volumes of a leader who invests in legacies, not applause.
On behalf of the Zone F structure and in my capacity as the Financial Secretary/Treasurer, I, Comr. Mbakwe Sunday, extend our deepest gratitude to Hon. Chijioke James Ume. Your love for education, your support for students, and your desire for a better future continue to inspire us all.
We are proud of you, we celebrate you, and we stand with you.
Signed:
Comr. Mbakwe Sunday
Financial Secretary/Treasurer,
