Saheed Oladele resigns from APC in Oyo State, citing lack of youth inclusion in party decision-making and leadership roles.
A governorship aspirant in Oyo State, Saheed Oladele, has officially resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC), citing dissatisfaction with the party’s approach to youth participation in leadership.
In a resignation letter dated April 7 and later shared on social media, Oladele addressed his decision to the APC chairman of Ward 4 in Ibadan North Local Government Area. He stated that his departure was driven by recent developments within the party’s Oyo chapter, which he believes do not adequately support youth inclusion in decision-making processes.
Oladele noted that he had been a committed member of the APC since its inception, emphasizing his efforts to bridge the gap between older political figures who favor continuity and younger individuals advocating for innovation and progress. However, he expressed concern that the party continues to sideline young people, engaging them without granting meaningful influence.

According to him, this stance conflicts with his vision for a more inclusive and progressive political system. He stressed that his loyalty lies with the masses and their advancement, rather than any structure that fails to prioritize collective growth and development.
