The High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting in Maitama, Abuja, has ordered Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, to produce his American international passport in an ongoing $2.1 million land-related suit.
Justice Sylvanus Oriji issued the order during proceedings in Suit No. CV/008/2026, following an application by counsel to the claimants, Hamza Dantani. The passport became relevant during cross-examination over Jordan’s whereabouts on September 26, 2025, the date the claimants alleged that the disputed payment was made.
The case was instituted by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan Wike.
According to the claimants, they initially met Jordan in London and subsequently met him in Abuja about three months later. They alleged that they approached him for assistance in facilitating the acquisition of land within the Federal Capital Territory.
The claimants further alleged that Jordan agreed to facilitate the acquisition of 30 hectares of land in Katampe and another 30 hectares in Guzape, making a total of 60 hectares.
They alleged that Jordan requested $2.1 million as a facilitation fee, claiming that $2 million was intended for his father, the FCT Minister, while $100,000 represented his personal fee.
The claimants also alleged that the $2.1 million was delivered in cash on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan was allegedly accompanied by one Onor Sandy.
They further claimed that after the alleged payment was made, the promised land transaction was not completed and the money was not refunded. They alleged that Jordan subsequently became unreachable.
However, Jordan has denied the allegations. During cross-examination, he reportedly told the court that he was outside Nigeria on September 26, 2025, and that he travelled using his American passport. He said he could produce the document if required.
Following the application by the claimants’ counsel, Justice Oriji directed Jordan to produce the passport before the court. Reports also indicate that the court subsequently admitted the passport in evidence as proceedings continued.
The passport is potentially relevant to the competing accounts concerning Jordan’s whereabouts on the date the claimants said the alleged $2.1 million payment took place.

The matter remains before the FCT High Court, and the allegations made by the claimants have not been established as fact by a final judgment. Further proceedings are expected as the court continues to hear evidence from the parties.
