Nigerian Air Force Opens Applications for Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025, calling on qualified Nigerian graduates and postgraduates to apply.

The announcement, signed by Air Vice Marshal A.H. Bakari on behalf of the Chief of the Air Staff, was published via the NAF’s official Facebook page. The force emphasized that the application is free of charge and must be completed only through the official recruitment portal: www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.

Step-by-Step Guide on How to Apply for NAF DSSC 34/2025

  1. Visit the Official Portal
    Go to www.nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng. Avoid third-party links or fraudulent websites.
  2. Review Disciplines & Requirements
    Ensure your course of study is listed under the required disciplines before filling out the form.
  3. Complete the Online Form
    Fill in your personal details, academic qualifications, and other required information carefully.
  4. Print Required Documents
    After submission, print the following:

Acknowledgment Slip

Parent/Guardian Consent Form

Local Government Attestation Form

  1. Get the Attestation Form Endorsed
    The form must be signed by:

A senior military officer (not below Wing Commander),

A police officer (not below Assistant Commissioner),

A Local Government Chairman/Secretary, or

A Magistrate from your state of origin.

  1. Submit NYSC Certificate
    Provide your NYSC discharge or exemption certificate during documentation.

General Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Must be a Nigerian citizen by birth.

Age: 20–32 years (medical consultants: 25–40 years).

Fitness: Applicants must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit with no criminal record.

Height Requirements: 1.66m minimum (male), 1.63m minimum (female).

Serving Personnel: Must have at least 5 years of service, hold the rank of Corporal or above, and obtain approval from their commanding officer.


Academic Requirements

Minimum Qualification: Second Class Lower (B.Sc./B.A.) or Upper Credit (HND).

Additional Advantage: Master’s degree, computer literacy, or professional membership.

O’Level Requirement: Five credits including English and Mathematics.

Medical Applicants: Must submit registration certificates from recognized professional bodies.


Recruitment Timeline

Application Opens: Wednesday, August 27, 2025

Application Closes: Tuesday, October 7, 2025

Zonal Aptitude Test: Dates will be announced later on the recruitment portal.


Important Notice

The Nigerian Air Force warns applicants against patronizing fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment process is transparent, fair, and free of charge.
