The Department of State Services (DSS) has apprehended one Mr. Eze Ezenwa Benard for allegedly circulating fake DSS recruitment past questions and answers on Facebook.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the DSS disclosed that the suspect operated through a Facebook page named “Jobs and Education”, where he lured unsuspecting job seekers with fraudulent recruitment materials. According to the agency, Benard sold the fake past questions for ₦1,000 each.

The security agency cautioned the public against falling victim to such scams, stressing that it does not sell or share recruitment questions, answers, or examination guides through private individuals or social media pages.

“Recruitment into the DSS, when necessary, follows a specialized procedure in accordance with the law and due process. Members of the public are advised to ignore such fraudulent pages,” the statement read.

Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding the credibility of its recruitment process, the DSS assured Nigerians that anyone caught exploiting job seekers will face the full weight of the law.
