U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the individual suspected in the shooting involving conservative commentator Charlie Kirk may have been apprehended.
During a live appearance on Fox News, Trump said authorities are “highly certain” they have the suspect in custody. According to Trump, a person “very close” to the suspect provided critical information leading to the arrest.

Trump also hinted that an official announcement would be made later on Friday to confirm the arrest and provide further details. As of now, law enforcement agencies have not released the suspect’s identity or additional information about the investigation.
