Bride-to-be, Mirian Sunday, dies suddenly in Umuahia just a day before her traditional wedding, leaving family and friends in shock.
A heartbreaking tragedy struck Umuahia, Abia State, on Friday, October 3, as what was meant to be a joyous weekend of celebration turned into mourning.
The deceased, identified as Miss Mirian Sunday, was preparing for her bride price ceremony scheduled for that same Friday and her traditional wedding planned for Sunday, October 5, when the unthinkable happened.

According to reports, Mirian was on her way to the market when she suddenly began to experience severe chest pain. Concerned individuals quickly rushed her to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Umuahia, where doctors made frantic efforts to save her life.
Sources revealed that she allegedly suffered internal bleeding, which required emergency surgery. Sadly, despite all medical interventions, Mirian was pronounced dead shortly after.



Family members described her as healthy and full of life before the incident. “She was perfectly fine that morning. None of us imagined that such a tragedy could strike on a day that was meant to mark the beginning of her marital joy,” a grieving relative said.
The sudden death has plunged both families into unimaginable sorrow, halting all wedding preparations and leaving the community in shock. Friends and well-wishers have since taken to social media to express their condolences, mourning a life cut short just days before one of her happiest moments.
What was supposed to be a weekend filled with love, laughter, and celebration has now turned into a time of tears and mourning in Umuahia.
