Federal Ministry of Education has announced that Mathematics will no longer be a compulsory subject for Arts students seeking admission into Nigerian universities and polytechnics.

This means that students pursuing courses in the Arts and Humanities will now be evaluated based on subjects directly relevant to their chosen fields, rather than the traditional general requirements.
