As the “Vice President for a Day,” Joy Ogah addressed the nation with confidence and purpose, urging leaders to prioritize education, protection, and equal opportunities for girls. She called for improved access to sanitation, nutrition, and learning resources in schools, emphasizing that a nation’s peace and progress depend on protecting its girls.

“When girls are protected, peace becomes possible,” Ogah declared.
“I may be the Vice President for a day, but the struggles I represent cannot end in a day. They must continue in our policies, our classrooms, our conversations, and our budgets.”
Vice President Shettima, in his address, reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s dedication to advancing girl-child education through programs such as the national school feeding initiative. He also commended First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her continuous advocacy and legislative efforts in supporting women and education during her time in the Nigerian Senate.
