Wike Warns PDP Governors: ‘Your Actions May Bury the Party’ [VIDEO]

FCT Minister Nyesom Wike warns PDP governors against sidelining stakeholders, cautioning that their actions may destroy the party.

Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has issued a stern warning to governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of excluding key stakeholders from crucial party activities a move he says could lead to the downfall of the opposition party.

Wike, a former governor of Rivers State, expressed concern over what he described as the growing tendency of some PDP governors to dominate the party’s decision-making process while disregarding other influential members.

“The way these present governors are doing, they will bury this party (PDP). I am the FCT Minister. Are you telling me that because I am not a governor, you will hold a PDP stakeholders’ meeting and exclude me, and then expect the party to survive?” Wike queried.

The FCT Minister stressed that the survival of the PDP depends on inclusivity and mutual respect among its members. He cautioned that marginalizing committed party figures, simply because they no longer hold gubernatorial positions, could further deepen internal divisions.

Political observers note that Wike’s remarks reflect the ongoing tension within the PDP following its recent electoral setbacks. His comments also underscore a broader call for reform and unity within the party ahead of future elections.

Despite his criticism, Wike reaffirmed his loyalty to the PDP and urged the leadership to prioritize fairness and internal democracy as part of efforts to rebuild public confidence in the party.
