JUST IN: Tinubu Makes Fresh Five Appointments

Tinubu appoints five new Permanent Secretaries after a merit-based process to strengthen efficiency and professionalism in Nigeria’s Federal Civil Service.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies across the Federal Civil Service. The announcement was confirmed in a statement issued by Eno Olotu, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are:

Ibrahim Abdulkarim Ozi – Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

Ezemama John Chidiebere – Imo State

Garba Abdul Sule Usman – North Central Geo-Political Zone

Mohammed Musa Ishiyaku – North East Geo-Political Zone

Ukaire Binyerem Chigbowu – South East Geo-Political Zone

According to the statement, the appointments were made after a transparent and merit-based selection process, reflecting the administration’s commitment to professionalism and efficiency in public service.

The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, congratulated the appointees and praised President Tinubu for reinforcing the values of accountability and excellence in governance. She noted that the new Permanent Secretaries are expected to apply their wealth of experience to enhance public administration and support the government’s strategic development goals.

Walson-Jack further emphasized that the Federal Government remains focused on building a competent, responsive, and results-driven civil service capable of meeting the evolving needs of Nigerian citizens.

With these appointments, the Tinubu administration continues to signal its drive toward institutional reform and improved service delivery across ministries and national agencies.
