President Tinubu swears in Dr. Bernard Doro and Dr. Kingsley Udeh as new ministers, strengthening Nigeria’s Federal Executive Council for improved governance.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in two newly appointed ministers to join the Federal Executive Council (FEC). The brief swearing-in ceremony was held on Thursday at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
The new appointees are Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro from Plateau State and Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh (SAN) from Enugu State. Their appointments follow previous ministerial vacancies created by political transitions and resignations.
Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro: A Multidisciplinary Expert
Dr. Doro was nominated to replace Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who became the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July 2025. Known for his wide academic and professional background, Dr. Doro has earned degrees across multiple disciplines, including:
Bachelor of Pharmacy – University of Jos
LL.B in Law – University College London (UCL)
MBA in IT & Business Strategy – University of Leicester
MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice – Anglia Ruskin University

Currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration and an MPhil in Leadership and Management at the Catholic University of Murcia, Spain.
He also served as the Financial Secretary of the APC United Kingdom Chapter, contributing to the party’s organizational structure and international visibility.
Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh: A Reform-Driven Legal Mind
Dr. Udeh, a respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), takes on the ministerial role following the resignation of Uche Nnaji on October 7, 2025. He brings a rich background in law, public policy, and governance.
His academic qualifications include:
LL.B – University of Nigeria (2005)
Nigerian Bar – 2006
LL.M in Public International Law – University of Nottingham, UK
Doctor of Laws in Public Law – Stellenbosch University, South Africa

Dr. Udeh previously served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Enugu State, where he played a key role in advancing legal reforms and strengthening judicial institutions.

The swearing-in of both ministers underscores President Tinubu’s ongoing effort to reinforce his administration with experienced technocrats and policy experts capable of driving national development and governance reforms.
The appointments were announced by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, on November 6, 2025.
