A tragic incident unfolded on Monday afternoon at the Adeogun Bridge military checkpoint in Lagos, where a man suspected to be mentally unstable disarmed a soldier and fatally shot him with his own AK-47 rifle.
According to eyewitness accounts, the attacker unexpectedly overpowered the soldier during routine checkpoint operations, seized the rifle, and opened fire. Witnesses said the soldier was still conscious shortly after the gunshot, but onlookers largely focused on filming the scene rather than offering assistance.
