Suspected cable vandal electrocuted in Adamawa

A yet-to-be-identified young man has been electrocuted while attempting to vandalise an electricity cable at a transformer in Yola, Adamawa state capital.

According to a statement by the Spokesman of the Adamawa State Police Command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, the deceased attempted to vandalise the cable along Ribadu Square around 0600hrs.
He said that unfortunately, part of his body came in contact with a live electricity cable which electrocuted him.

“The body is evacuated to hospital for expart opinion. Investigation is ongoing for more recoveries and more details. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, warned the public to keep off from electrical transformers and report anyone seen around for immediate action” Nguroje said.
