Emirates suspends all flights to and from Dubai due to regional airspace closures, advising passengers not to travel to airports until further notice.
Emirates Airline has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Dubai until further notice, following widespread airspace closures across parts of the Middle East.
The decision affects operations at both Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport, two of the region’s busiest aviation hubs.
In a travel advisory posted on the airline’s official website, Emirates confirmed that the temporary suspension is necessary due to the evolving security situation affecting regional airspace.
According to the airline, all scheduled flights to and from Dubai have been halted, and passengers have been advised not to travel to the airport until further updates are provided.
In the statement, Emirates said:
“All flights to and from Dubai have been suspended until further notice. Please do not go to the airport. Emirates will share updates when available. We thank our customers for their understanding and patience.”
The airline explained that the move is a precautionary step aimed at ensuring the safety of passengers, crew members, and aircraft operations.
Prior to the latest announcement, Emirates had already extended a temporary pause on several flights, with operations initially expected to resume by 23:59 UAE time on March 7. However, continued airspace restrictions across parts of the region forced the airline to implement a broader suspension.
Industry observers note that the disruption is linked to ongoing tensions and military developments in the Middle East, which have led to multiple countries restricting or closing their airspace to commercial flights.
Airlines operating in the region are closely monitoring the situation and may adjust flight schedules as conditions evolve. Emirates has assured travelers that updates regarding flight resumption and rebooking options will be communicated through its official channels.
