VIDEO: Kwankwaso Drops Bombshell on 2023 Election Alliance, Reveals Daughter’s Shocking Political Advice

Former Kano State Governor and presidential hopeful, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has once again stirred political conversation after reflecting on the evolving nature of Nigerian politics and growing youth influence ahead of the 2023 elections.

Speaking on political alignment and national unity, Kwankwaso noted that even within his personal household, younger voices were already leaning toward alternative leadership choices. He revealed that during the 2023 election cycle, even his daughter encouraged him to consider working with Peter Obi, a sign, he suggested, of how the younger generation is reshaping political discussions beyond ethnicity and religion.

According to him, while older political actors often focus on religious and ethnic considerations, many young Nigerians are increasingly prioritizing competence, credibility, and a better future for the country. He emphasized that this shift is becoming more visible across different regions and families, reflecting a broader national sentiment.

Kwankwaso further drew historical parallels, referencing Nigeria’s earlier political eras. He said the country appears to be revisiting the spirit of cooperation that existed during the time of leaders like Ahmadu Bello and Tafawa Balewa in the First Republic, as well as the collaborative governance approach seen in the Second Republic under Shehu Shagari, where leaders from different regions worked closely with counterparts from the South-East.

He stressed that such historical examples demonstrate that political unity across regional lines is not new to Nigeria. Instead, it is a tradition that can be revived in modern politics to strengthen national development.

On his current political stance, Kwankwaso suggested openness to broader alliances, including collaboration with leaders like Peter Obi, describing them as political allies with shared interest in national progress. He noted that such partnerships could help rebuild trust in governance and address Nigeria’s long-standing challenges.

His remarks have continued to generate debate among political observers, especially regarding the possibility of a stronger coalition between major opposition figures ahead of future elections.
