He praised the citizens for their unwavering faith in the state, despite years of challenges, stressing that Abia’s strength lies in the industriousness and resourcefulness of its people.

“Today, we celebrate 34 years of our dear state, God’s Own State. Abians have remained resilient, hopeful, and determined in the pursuit of a better future. Our people are our greatest asset, and it is their courage and determination that continue to drive the state forward,” Aguocha said.

The lawmaker particularly hailed Governor Alex Otti for what he described as “a fresh breath of purposeful leadership and a turning point in Abia’s history.” He noted that the governor’s reforms in governance, infrastructure renewal, and restoration of public confidence are rekindling hope across the state.

“At 34, Abia is experiencing a rebirth under the visionary leadership of Governor Alex Otti. His commitment to accountability, good governance, and people-oriented policies is laying the foundation for a truly new Abia,” Aguocha added.

He called on all Abians at home and in the diaspora to rally behind the present administration, work together in unity, and continue to uphold the values of hard work and integrity that the state is known for.

“May this anniversary inspire us all to dream bigger, work harder, and keep faith in the destiny of our land,” he concluded.
