The Abia State Government has approved the immediate suspension of Mr. Michael Aniorji from his position as Chairman of the Ariaria International Market, Aba.
In a statement issued by the Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Hon. Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha, the government announced the appointment of Sir Hyacint Ositadinma Nnabude as the Acting Chairman of the market.
By this directive, Sir Nnabude is to assume responsibility for the administration and supervision of all market activities pending further instructions from the Ministry. The government hereby directs all unions, associations, and stakeholders operating within the Ariaria International Market to accord the Acting Chairman their full support and cooperation in the overall interest of the market and the state.
The suspension of Mr. Aniorji and the appointment of Sir Nnabude take immediate effect. The Abia State Government remains committed to ensuring orderliness, transparency, and effective leadership within Ariaria International Market, which continues to serve as a vital commercial hub for Aba, Abia State, and Nigeria at large.
