Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, alongside senior officials of the Sokoto State Government, on Sunday, 30th November 2025, visited the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, at the Sokoto Prison.
The visit, which drew significant national attention, was aimed at assessing Kanu’s welfare and reviewing his detention conditions. Governor Otti’s presence underscored ongoing concerns from the South-East regarding Kanu’s legal challenges and prolonged incarceration.
