The House of Representatives has taken another significant step toward improving healthcare delivery in Abia State as the Bill to Establish the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ikwuano, successfully scaled through the Committee of the Whole and advanced to the Third Reading.
Sponsored by Hon. Obi Aguocha, who represents Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, the proposed legislation seeks to establish a fully equipped federal medical facility that will serve as a major healthcare and research hub in the South-East region.
The House of Representatives has made another major stride toward strengthening healthcare in Abia State, as the Bill to Establish the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) in Ikwuano has successfully passed through the Committee of the Whole and advanced to the Third Reading.
Sponsored by Hon. Obi Aguocha, the representative of Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, the bill aims to create a state-of-the-art federal medical facility that will serve as a key healthcare and research center for the South-East region.
