Breaking: Former CAN chairman is dead

Bishop Joseph George Masin, former Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, in Nasarawa State and founder of Word of God Gospel City, has passed away.He died on Friday, February 28, 2025, in Abuja.His death was confirmed by his eldest son, Joseph Masin Jr, who paid tribute to his father in a Facebook post, describing him as a hero.“I know you are sleeping, you are not dead. Rest in Peace Baba,” he wrote.

During his tenure as CAN chairman, he was known for his advocacy for peace and religious harmony.Funeral arrangements are expected to be announced by the family in the coming days.
