The legislative council of Ikwuano Local Government has officially announced the impeachment of Hon. Ejike Williams, Leader of the House, citing incompetence, misconduct, and a series of governance failures.

According to the impeachment notice issued by members of the council, the decision followed months of dissatisfaction over Williams’ leadership style and alleged inability to fulfill his responsibilities effectively.
Grounds for Impeachment
The lawmakers outlined several reasons for his removal, including:

Declaration of Removal
Following manual vote counts by the councillors, the legislative body declared that Hon. Ejike Williams has been impeached from his position as Leader of the House with immediate effect.
