The ongoing trial of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has once again been postponed. The court on Tuesday adjourned proceedings to October 16, 2025, following a request from the prosecution.
According to the prosecuting counsel, the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has not yet submitted the medical examination report conducted on Nnamdi Kanu. The report is considered crucial to the next phase of the trial.

Citing the absence of the document, the prosecution requested an adjournment to allow time for the NMA to file the medical report. The presiding judge accepted the request and officially rescheduled the case for further hearing on October 16, 2025.
The development has stirred mixed reactions among observers, with supporters of Nnamdi Kanu describing the delay as part of a prolonged judicial process they believe should be expedited.
As the next hearing date approaches, attention remains on whether the medical report will be submitted in time to facilitate the continuation of the case.
