Defence Minister Mohammed Badaru defends Lt. A.M. Yerima, pledging full protection for officers acting lawfully.
The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, has publicly defended the actions of Lieutenant A.M. Yerima, assuring that the Federal Government will ensure full protection for officers performing their lawful duties.
Speaking on the matter, Badaru reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding military personnel who act within the confines of the law.
“We are currently looking into this issue, and we assure that any officer on lawful duty will be protected highly. We will not allow anything to happen to him,” the minister stated.
His statement comes amid growing public interest in the recent incident involving Lieutenant Yerima. The Defence Minister emphasized that maintaining the morale and integrity of the Nigerian Armed Forces remains a top priority for the administration.
