The Director-General of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), Abia State, Hon. Osinachi Hycinth Nwaka, has once again demonstrated compassion and inclusive leadership by hosting a special Christmas celebration for Persons Living with Disabilities (PLWD).
The heartwarming event, held at Hon. Nwaka’s residence, brought together PLWD from different communities to share in the joy of the festive season. The celebration featured refreshments, gift presentations, and moments of laughter, creating an atmosphere of warmth and belonging.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Nwaka emphasized the importance of love, dignity, and inclusion, especially during Christmas. He noted that the season serves as a reminder that every individual deserves to be valued and celebrated, regardless of physical or social challenges. According to him, the gathering was organized to honor and appreciate persons living with disabilities, whom he described as an integral part of society.
Participants at the event expressed deep appreciation for Hon. Nwaka’s continued support, recalling similar gestures during his tenure as Mayor of Ikwuano and now as Director-General of MOFI. They also commended the Abia State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, for its consistent recognition and support of persons with disabilities across the state.
Hon. Nwaka reiterated his commitment to social responsibility and community development, stressing that true leadership is reflected in care for the most vulnerable. He added that unity, compassion, and mutual support remain the foundation of a strong and progressive society.
