The Department of State Services (DSS) has confirmed the dismissal of 115 personnel as part of its continuing internal restructuring and professional standards enforcement. This move, according to the agency, reflects its commitment to maintaining discipline, accountability, and integrity within its operations.

In a statement released by the Service, the DSS noted that these dismissals occurred over a period of time and were linked to various violations of professional conduct. The agency further emphasized that some of the dismissed individuals are still falsely presenting themselves as active DSS operatives in order to engage in fraudulent activities.

The Service specifically cautioned the public against interacting with persons previously identified as Barry Donald and Victor Onyedikachi Godwin, along with others who no longer serve in the organization but continue to impersonate DSS officials for criminal purposes.

To protect citizens, the DSS urged members of the public to avoid any official transactions with these individuals and to remain vigilant. It also provided a resource where the identities of all affected former officers have been publicly listed for verification: dss.gov.ng/media/more/4.

Individuals or organizations seeking clarification, wishing to report suspicious activity, or making general inquiries may contact the DSS via the following channels:
