BREAKING: EFCC Arrests 19 Suspected Internet Fraudsters, a Lady Included [PHOTOS]

EFCC arrests 19 suspected internet fraudsters in Niger State, recovering cars, phones, laptops, and fetish items.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Kaduna Zonal Directorate, has apprehended 19 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State. According to the commission, the suspects comprise 18 men and one woman.

The arrests were carried out on Friday, September 19, 2025, following actionable intelligence linking the suspects to various forms of online fraud and cybercrime activities.


Items Recovered During the EFCC Operation

During the raid, EFCC operatives recovered several items believed to have been used for illicit activities. These include:

One Honda Civic car

Thirty-three mobile phones

Five laptop computers

One peak power generating set

Three Bluetooth speakers

A white calabash and other fetish materials

The commission stated that the suspects are currently under investigation and will face prosecution once the investigation is concluded.

The arrested suspects are expected to be charged to court after the EFCC completes its investigation. This case serves as another warning to individuals engaging in online scams and other financial crimes.
