The most performing governor in Nigeria, His Excellency Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR visited the vibrant and a senior advocate of the people Rep. Hon. Obi Aguocha, MHR representing the good people of Umuahia/ Ikwuano Federal constituency at his country home Umuohuru Okaiuga Nkwoegwu in Ohuhu Umuahia North, Abia State on a special occasion of the popular “Ekpe festival” also known as “Iri egwu” on the 8th day of January 2025.
The festival which held on the above date tends to unite people from all walks of like, promoting the arts, crafts and culture of our dear Ohuhu land, it is held ones in a year by each community within Umuahia / Ikwuano axis where we receive visitors from different villages to wine and dine with and then move to the market square known as “Mbara” where villagers gather to dance and merry.
The governor was accompanied by: Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ihuoma Emeruwa the Speaker Abia house of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Austin Meregini the Deputy speaker Abia house of Assembly, Dr Sir Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu the commissioner for transport,
the newly elected Deputy president of Ohaneze ndi Igbo Prince Okey Nwadinobi, Hon. Sir Aham Uko former commissioner of Finance Abia state and other dignitaries where also present.
