Enugu Police arrest fake NYSC member who disguised as corps member to evade security checks during robbery operations.
The Enugu State Police Command has apprehended a suspected armed robber who allegedly disguised himself as a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in a bid to evade security scrutiny.
According to the command’s spokesperson, the suspect was intercepted during a routine patrol after officers noticed inconsistencies in his NYSC uniform and identification details. Upon further investigation, the suspect was found to be in possession of items linked to several robbery incidents within the state.

The police revealed that the arrest was part of ongoing efforts to rid Enugu of criminal elements exploiting official identities to commit crimes. The suspect is currently in custody and will be charged to court after investigations are concluded.
The Command urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious individuals or activities to security agencies promptly.
