FG orders closure of 47 Federal Unity Colleges nationwide over rising security concerns, directing immediate evacuation of students and staff.

In a decisive move aimed at safeguarding students and staff, the Federal Government has ordered the immediate shutdown of 47 Federal Unity Colleges across the country following rising security concerns in several regions.

The directive, issued on Friday, comes as part of enhanced national security measures after intelligence reports indicated potential threats to learning environments in various states. The Ministry of Education stated that the decision, though difficult, was taken to prevent risks to students’ lives and ensure a safe academic environment nationwide.
