Abia State has become and remained a destination of choice for high profile individuals and groups from the public and private sector from across the country.

Earlier today, it was a delegation from First Bank Nigeria Plc, led by her Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director, Olusegun Alebiosu came calling on his His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR at his Umuehim Nvosi Country home in Isialangwa South LGA of Abia State to discuss areas collaboration towards sharing in the success story of the State.

Governor Otti was so elated to receive members of his constituency in his former life as a banker. He thanked the First Bank team for finding time to come to Abia State to identify with one of their own. The Governor enjoined the Bank to explore areas of collaboration between the State and the Bank and assured them of the State’s readiness to partner with the private sector on projects of mutual benefit.

The Group Managing Director of First Bank Plc described Governor Otti as his Boss and Mentor who is always willing to share his wealth of knowledge and skills with those who grew under him during his banking years. He expressed his excitement at the level of transformation and development he saw in Umuahia, the State Capital. The Bank Chief promised to visit Aba, the Enyimba City to witness the improvement and rapid development of the City which he has been seeing in the news. He thanked Governor Otti for being a good ambassador of the Banking Industry and assured of the willingness of his Bank to partner with the State and be part of the State’s success stories. The Bank Chief and his team went into a close door meeting with Governor Otti.

The Group Managing Director was joined in the close door meeting with Governor Otti by Nkiru Harriet Eze, Group Head, Public Sector South South, First Bank Nigeria, Ifeanyi Akamigbo, Group Head, Public Sector, South East. Akanu Obasi Okoro, Ag. Group Head, Commercial Banking, South East 2, Bassey Ogar, Business Manager, Commercial Banking, Aba 2, Chinwe Okeke, Group Head, Retail Banking, South East 2, Onyebuchi Stephen, Business Development Manager, Aba 2 and other senior Bank Officers.
