High Chief Raymond Ofoegbu, D.Nur, fondly called Onyinye Ohuhu and convener of the Ohuhu Revival Project, has sent a warm congratulatory message to Ndi Ohuhu as they celebrate the Iwa Ji (New Yam Festival).
In his goodwill message, Chief Ofoegbu assured the people of his endless support and sincere commitment to promoting the culture and traditions of Ohuhu. He emphasized that his dedication is anchored on sincerity of purpose, with a vision to strengthen cultural pride and preserve the community’s heritage for future generations.
Looking ahead, he expressed confidence that Ohuhu will grow into a cultural tourism center. With God’s guidance, the wisdom of the revered ndi Eze, and cooperation with relevant authorities, he believes the Iwa Ji festival will attract global recognition. According to him, international visitors will one day travel and pay to witness the colorful Ohuhu Iwa Ji ceremony.
