Hon. Obi Aguocha mourns Dame Peace Igbokwe, mother of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, describing her as a woman of faith, love, and lasting legacy.
Losing a loved one is never easy and for the Igbokwe family, the pain runs deep. The Member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Obi Aguocha, has joined many voices in mourning the passing of Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe, the beloved mother of Mayor Lucky Igbokwe (Don Lulu).
In a heartfelt condolence message, Hon. Aguocha described Dame Peace Igbokwe’s death as a painful loss not just to her family, but to the entire Abia community. According to him, her life was a shining example of faith, humility, and service to humanity.

“I am deeply saddened by the passing of Dame Peace Onyekwulechi Igbokwe,” he said. “She was not just a loving mother to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, but a mother figure to many whose lives she touched through her kindness, compassion, and devotion to God.”
Hon. Aguocha praised the late Dame Igbokwe for living a life filled with purpose and love — one that inspired those around her to live selflessly and hold strong to godly values.
He reflected on how her passing leaves behind a void that will be hard to fill but noted that her legacy of love, family, and faith will continue to speak for her.
“Though her departure is painful, we take solace in the fact that she lived a meaningful life and positively impacted many people,” Aguocha added.
Extending his deepest condolences to Mayor Lucky Igbokwe and his family, Hon. Aguocha urged them to hold on to the beautiful memories and lasting values their matriarch instilled in them.
“On behalf of the people of Ikwuano/Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency, I extend my heartfelt condolences to my dear brother and friend, Mayor Lucky Igbokwe, and to the entire Igbokwe family,” he said. “May God grant you the strength to bear this loss and grant her soul eternal rest.”
