The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, accompanied by Hajia Nana Shettima, the wife of Vice President Kashim Shettima, paid a visit to the residences of former Military President General Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and former Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar in Niger State.

The dignitaries were warmly received by Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State, his wife, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago, and other state officials at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Airport in Minna, the state capital.

General Babangida ruled Nigeria from 1985 to 1993. On the other hand, General Abdulsalami Abubakar took over as the head of state after General Sani Abacha’s sudden death in June 1998. Abubakar’s rule lasted from June 1998 to May 29, 1999, during which he oversaw the transition to civilian rule and handed over power to Olusegun Obasanjo.
