Delta businessman Emmanuel Kuejubola writes an open letter to President Tinubu, seeking a ₦12 billion loan to fund housing and job creation projects.

A Nigerian businessman, Emmanuel Efayeta Kuejubola, has written an open loan application letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, requesting financial support of ₦12 billion to fund a large-scale housing and agricultural project aimed at tackling poverty and unemployment in Nigeria.

In the letter, which was published in a national newspaper, Kuejubola identified himself as a native of Okpavuerhe-Olomu Kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State. He described his ambitious plan to address Nigeria’s housing deficit through the development of new settlements starting from Delta State.

Kuejubola noted that Nigeria possesses abundant land and human resources capable of transforming the economy if properly harnessed. He also drew inspiration from the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, whose free education initiative lifted many Nigerians out of poverty, expressing confidence that President Tinubu could make an even greater impact.

“I am constrained to write this open letter to you having earlier written to my big brother, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, on a similar matter. Though I haven’t received a response, I remain committed to actualizing this dream,” he wrote.

The entrepreneur explained that the ₦12 billion loan would cover the acquisition and documentation of 400 acres of land, the construction of 400 two-bedroom bungalows, and eventually the development of 3,000 housing units in three phases.

According to Kuejubola, the project will not only provide affordable housing but also generate over 3,000 jobs and offer free education to 1,000 Nigerians from primary to university level.

He emphasized that his initiative is aimed at reducing poverty, hunger, and housing shortages, while improving the country’s business environment. Kuejubola further assured the President that the loan would be repaid within 36 months of disbursement.

“Please, Mr. President, don’t give me any precondition to receive this loan. Ideas may rule the world, but money answers all things,” he added, urging President Tinubu to consider his proposal favorably.

Kuejubola concluded his appeal with optimism, praying for divine guidance for the President and expressing hope for a prompt and positive response.
