The incident went viral after footage surfaced showing the destruction of Ola’s luxury car showroom. Many believed he was the rightful owner of the property, with some alleging illegal occupation. However, Ola has now addressed the situation directly, stating that he was a tenant, not the landlord.

"I never claim to own the property of Skywise group, all I did was lease a section for doing my business"

Ola’s Side of the Story

According to Ola, his business operated under a valid lease agreement with the Skywise Group. He clarified that:

He never claimed ownership of the property.

The area he occupied was legally leased to him for business use.

The allegations of illegal possession are false and misleading.

His priority now is to clear his name and continue running his business transparently.

In his words, “All I did was lease a section of the property to do my business. I never claimed to own the property of Skywise Group.”

Public Reaction and Implications

The clarification has sparked widespread discussion online, with fans and business observers expressing mixed reactions. Some sympathize with Ola for the misunderstanding, while others urge a thorough investigation into the demolition and lease terms.

Legal experts note that leasing and ownership are distinct rights, and the case could set a new precedent for how property disputes involving influencers and private developers are handled in Lagos.

What Happens Next?

All eyes are now on Skywise Group and the authorities to determine the legality of the demolition. Meanwhile, Ola’s calm but firm clarification may help restore his reputation and reassure his clients that his business remains legitimate and operational.
