H/Chief Raymond Onyinyechi Ofoegbu, popularly known as Onyinye Ohuhu, has distanced himself from campaign posters currently circulating online and in some public locations linking him to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the contest for the Umuahia North (Ohuhu) State Constituency.
In a statement addressing the development, Ofoegbu clarified that he has not officially declared his political affiliation or announced any formal intention to run under a particular political platform.
According to him, the posters suggesting that he is contesting under the APC were produced and circulated without his approval or authorization.
The Ohuhu-born leader acknowledged the growing support and encouragement from friends, supporters, and political associates, noting that he appreciates the confidence many people have expressed in his leadership potential.
However, he urged members of the public and the people of Ohuhu to disregard any campaign materials that present him as having adopted a political party or confirmed candidacy at this stage.
Ofoegbu assured the community that he remains committed to consultations and engagements with stakeholders and the people of Ohuhu before making any official political declaration.
He further emphasized that when the time is right, he will clearly present his political position and direction to the people in a manner that reflects their collective interests and aspirations.
The community figure also thanked residents and supporters for their understanding, patience, and continued goodwill as he continues discussions that will shape his next political steps.
I want to assure the good people of Ohuhu that I will formally present my political position and acceptable direction in due time, after proper consultation with stakeholders and the people.
