Peter Obi has finally addressed the viral images making rounds on social media, allegedly showing him with former U.S. President Donald Trump and Lagos transport leader MC Oluomo. In a shocking revelation, Obi categorically stated that the pictures are fake, doctored, and part of a deliberate misinformation campaign.
The prominent Nigerian political leader explained that he has not met Donald Trump recently and has had no such meeting with MC Oluomo. He described the images and accompanying stories as completely false and designed to mislead the public.

“If I had such meetings, I would have personally posted them on my verified X handle,” Obi said, reaffirming his commitment to transparency.
Obi warned Nigerians and the international community to stay alert to the rising dangers of fake news and propaganda. According to him, these falsehoods are deliberately crafted to confuse, distract, and erode public trust.

He emphasized that his politics is not about chasing clout or publicity but about solving Nigeria’s real issues — from insecurity and the rule of law to education, healthcare, and lifting millions out of poverty.
Obi concluded by reaffirming his vision of a better Nigeria built on integrity, accountability, and transparency. “A new Nigeria is POssible,” he declared.
