Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has stirred fresh reactions online after releasing alleged WhatsApp messages and a recorded phone call linked to a feature request from influencer and media personality Saida Boj.
According to Portable, Saida Boj reached out to him seeking a collaboration on her EP and proposed a fee of ₦1 million. However, the singer insisted that his brand and craft come at a much higher price, initially quoting ₦10 million for the feature. The discussion reportedly moved into negotiations, with Portable reducing his demand to ₦8 million while emphasizing that music is a serious business, not a favour.
The leaked exchange quickly drew attention on social media, as it appeared to revive past tensions between both parties. In the shared messages and call, Portable mocked Saida Boj’s intentions and claimed she had previously spoken negatively about him before later requesting his support for her project. He further suggested that she was now “begging” for a feature after allegedly dragging him in the past.
Portable’s decision to make the conversation public sparked mixed reactions, with some fans backing his stance on placing value on his work, while others criticized the public airing of private discussions. The singer also hinted that he would not hesitate to “show levels” if other rivals or critics approached him for collaborations under similar circumstances.
