Federal lawmaker Hon. Obi Aguocha has condemned the latest court ruling in the trial of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, branding it “unjust” and a “blatant double standard.”
Speaking after Thursday’s court session, the Umuahia North, Umuahia South and Ikwuano representative faulted the judiciary for ignoring the issue of Kanu’s alleged extraordinary rendition. He said Kanu’s legal team would soon present evidence that could “reshape the entire case.”

Aguocha accused the federal government of denying Kanu basic rights, including medical treatment despite reports of organ failure. “Even the President goes abroad for care. Why is Kanu treated differently?” he asked.
The lawmaker also fired at Igbo political and spiritual leaders for maintaining what he called “dangerous silence,” contrasting it with the government’s readiness to negotiate with insurgents from other regions.
