Reps Committee Chair Kafilat Ogbara pledges strict oversight on women affairs budget to ensure transparency and real impact for Nigerian women.
The Chairman of the House Committee on Women Affairs, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, has pledged that the House of Representatives will enforce strict oversight on budgetary allocations aimed at empowering women across Nigeria.
Ogbara made this commitment during an oversight visit to the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) in Abuja.
She emphasized that the National Assembly is determined to ensure that all funds allocated to women development initiatives are properly utilized and translated into measurable results that improve the lives of Nigerian women.

According to her, legislative oversight is not only a constitutional duty but also a vital tool for promoting transparency and accountability in the implementation of government programs.
Committee members commended the management of the Maryam Babangida Centre for its ongoing efforts to promote gender equality and enhance women’s participation in national development, describing the centre as instrumental in building a brighter future for women in Nigeria.
