FINANCIAL SECRETARY/TREASURER, NANS ZONE F, COMR. MBAKWE SUNDAY, PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO NEWLY APPOINTED DEAN SA, ABIA STATE UNIVERSITY

The Financial Secretary/Treasurer of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone F (South-East), Comr. Mbakwe Sunday, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the newly appointed Dean of Students’ Affairs, Abia State University, Uturu, Prof. Dick Udoma.

During the visit, Comr. Mbakwe Sunday congratulated Prof. Udoma on his emergence and wished him success in his tenure. He reaffirmed NANS Zone F’s commitment to constructive engagement with stakeholders to enhance the welfare of students across the South-East.

He also used the opportunity to commend the government of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, for initiating the much-needed renovation of hostels within the university. Additionally, he expressed appreciation to the school’s management, led by the amiable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ndukwe Okeudo, for prioritizing students’ welfare and infrastructural development.

Responding to students’ concerns regarding the relocation of some occupants of Hostel C (Girls) and Hostel F (Boys), Comr. Mbakwe Sunday formally appealed to the Dean of Students’ Affairs. Prof. Udoma swiftly addressed the matter, assuring that the situation had been resolved. In appreciation, Comr. Mbakwe Sunday commended his prompt intervention and reassured him of the unwavering support of NANS Zone F (South-East).

The visit was attended by the SUG Director of Welfare, Comr. Emeasoba Johnmary Chidiebere, who has been working diligently alongside the SUG President, Comr. Ugoani Emmanuel, to safeguard students’ interests. Other members of the delegation included Comr. Chibueze Miracle and Comr. Iheanacho Chidera.

NANS Zone F remains committed to advocating for students’ welfare and fostering positive engagements with school authorities and government officials to ensure an improved learning environment.
