President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has posthumously honored four prominent Ogoni leaders for their remarkable contributions to Nigeria’s democratic and environmental struggles.

In a historic announcement, Tinubu conferred the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) award on the following late icons:

Chief Edward Kobani (CON)

Chief Albert Badey (CON)

Chief Samuel Orage (CON)

Chief Theophilus Orage (CON)
