The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the reopening of its electronic membership registration exercise nationwide as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
According to a statement issued by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday, August 31, 2026, and will be conducted across wards throughout the country.
The party urged existing members, supporters, stakeholders and Nigerians interested in joining the APC to take advantage of the registration exercise.
Existing APC members are expected to validate and update their membership information, while new and prospective members can use the platform to formally register with the party.
However, participation is limited to eligible Nigerians who are at least 18 years old and have a valid National Identification Number (NIN).
The APC explained that the electronic registration initiative is designed to modernise and digitise its membership database. The system is also expected to strengthen the accuracy and reliability of membership records while making relevant data more accessible for effective party planning and administration.
Beyond membership documentation, the party said the exercise is intended to strengthen internal democracy and improve participation within its structures at the grassroots level.
The reopening of the electronic membership registration comes as political parties begin to intensify their organisational activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, making accurate membership records increasingly important for party mobilisation, planning and internal processes.
The APC therefore encouraged its members and supporters across the country to participate actively in the exercise and ensure that their membership details are properly captured or validated.

The party described the initiative as part of its broader commitment to adopting digital solutions, promoting democratic innovation and building a more efficient membership structure ahead of the next electoral cycle.
