The Umuahia Premier Club, Umuahia Branch, has endorsed Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha for a second term as the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The endorsement was announced during a meeting of the club hosted by Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha and presided over by the Premier of the club, Chibuzo Ejim.
According to the account of the meeting, members unanimously adopted a motion endorsing Aguocha’s bid for another term in the National Assembly. The motion was moved by Attorney Ejikeme Nnochiri Obike and seconded by Premier Ezumezu, proprietor of Ezumezu Resort, Umuahia.
The endorsement is notable given the history of the Umuahia Premier Club and the public-service experience associated with some of its members. The club has previously had members who served in the Federal House of Representatives, including Hon. Iheanocho Obioma and Hon. Oluchi Ibeji.
Against this background, the decision by the Umuahia branch to endorse Aguocha represents a formal expression of support from members with experience in public and community affairs.
Aguocha is seeking another term to continue representing Ikwuano, Umuahia North and Umuahia South Federal Constituency. The latest endorsement adds to the ongoing political discussions surrounding representation, leadership and constituency service ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting also brought together professionals, community leaders, friends and other members of the Umuahia community in the spirit of the Umuahia Premier Club.
The endorsement further places Aguocha’s second-term bid within the broader conversation about the future of representation in the constituency as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to develop.
