VIDEO: Activist Serah Ibrahim Criticizes Fuel Price Surge, Questions Government Policy Shift

Nigerian activist Serah Ibrahim has sparked fresh debate over the rising cost of fuel in the country, drawing attention to the sharp contrast between past political positions and current realities. In a strongly worded statement, she recalled how the current administration once opposed fuel prices when they stood at ₦141 per litre, compared to the significantly higher rates Nigerians face today.

According to Ibrahim, the increase to around ₦1,450 per litre has placed immense pressure on citizens and businesses alike. She argued that the steep rise in fuel costs is not only affecting transportation but also driving up the cost of goods and services, making it increasingly difficult for small and medium-sized enterprises to survive.

Her remarks highlight growing public frustration over economic conditions, particularly as inflation and energy costs continue to rise. Ibrahim suggested that the situation reflects a contradiction in leadership, noting that past protests against fuel hikes now stand in stark contrast to current policies.
