President Tinubu Set for Three-Nation Diplomatic Tour

President Tinubu embarks on France, Kenya, and Rwanda tour to boost partnerships, attend Africa-France Summit and Africa CEO Forum.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja on Saturday, May 2, for a strategic three-nation visit covering France, Kenya, and Rwanda, as part of efforts to deepen Nigeria’s global partnerships and economic diplomacy.

According to a State House press release, the President’s first stop will be in France before proceeding to Nairobi, where he will participate in the upcoming Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11 to May 12.

The high-level summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key development priorities including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital innovation, climate action, and reforms in global financing systems.

President Tinubu’s presence at the summit highlights Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening bilateral and multilateral relations with African nations and France. The event, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will bring together leaders to discuss economic transformation, infrastructure expansion, youth empowerment, and sustainable development across the continent.

Following the summit in Kenya, President Tinubu will travel to Kigali to attend the 2026 edition of the Africa CEO Forum, scheduled for May 14 to May 15. The forum, themed “Scale or Fail,” is expected to convene over 2,000 business executives, investors, and policymakers.

Organized in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation, the forum will explore strategies for accelerating Africa’s economic growth through regional integration, industrial competitiveness, and increased cross-border investments.

During both engagements, President Tinubu is expected to present Nigeria’s ongoing economic reforms aimed at positioning the country as a top destination for investment. He will also hold bilateral meetings with global and African business leaders to attract partnerships and drive economic growth.
